The Mandalorian and Grogu star Pedro Pascal says his Star Wars bounty hunter is conscious of his personal mortality in comparison with Grogu’s – and he’s getting a bit existential about it in the upcoming film.

And it’s sentimental, because Din Djarin knows that this creature will outlive him, and I think that, existentially, he’s very, very focused on making sure that he can survive in a world without him.

“And after all, the facility that Grogu has surpasses Mando’s by a lot. And but none of us desires to let go of our baby, and none of us desires to maintain that baby from rising into every little thing that they’ll do. So that is actually, I believe, the very, very textured relationship and story that they are capable of inform on a thrill experience that you just can’t consider.”
