The original Mandalorian season 4 scripts helped set up Ahsoka season 2, but Jon Favreau had to “start from scratch” for The Mandalorian and Grogu

Before The Mandalorian and Grogu was introduced, the expectation was that the story of Din Djarin and his tiny inexperienced cargo Baby Yoda would proceed in The Mandalorian season 4.

Of course, that finally did not finish up being the case, as, after the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike and the WGA writers’ strikethe plan was retooled to carry the duo to the massive display quite than proceed on Disney Plus. But, Favreau had already written all of the scripts – and, because it seems, this story would have closely linked to Ahsoka season 2.
