San Diego Police investigate crash that left 14-year-old girl dead in San Carlos

SAN DIEGO — A 14-year-old girl suffered deadly accidents Sunday in a single automobile crash in San Carlos after the automobile she was using into hit a pedestrian and a tree, in response to authorities.

San Diego Police Department officers and San Diego Fire-Rescue Department personnel responded to a automobile rescue on Navajo Road close to Golfcrest Drive shortly after 11:30 am Sunday, in response to a division assertion.

A 35-year-old girl was driving a 2017 Mazda 6 westbound in the 7500 block of Navajo Road when she drove up onto the north sidewalk, placing an 18-year-old male pedestrian, and continued ahead till hitting a tree in the Navajo Road divider, in response to the SDPD.

The driver sustained a fractured proper ankle. A 14-year-old girl in the passenger seat was pronounced dead on the scene. A 1-year-old boy passenger and an 8-year-old boy passenger weren’t injured, police mentioned.

“The male pedestrian sustained a concussion and an avulsion to his left arm,” the police assertion mentioned.

Twenty-five firefighting personnel from SDFRD, La Mesa Fire Department, and El Cajon Fire Department responded to the crash, together with three ambulances and a rescue rig, in response to SDFRD officers.
