NWFA completes 86th RISE home with Gary Sinise Foundation


Four Oaks, NC—The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) provided flooring for its 86th home. The effort supports the Gary Sinise Foundation RISE program.

The home dedication for retired US Army Sgt. Mary Dague occurred right here March 5. NWFA member Peachey Hardwood donated the flooring.

Dague selected to serve after witnessing the occasions of 9/11. During a deployment in Iraq in 2007, she and her workforce responded to an IED positioned between a faculty and an condo constructing. After the workforce dismantled and ready the system for transport, she seen it transferring and moved to protect her workforce. The blast resulted within the lack of each her arms.

“In addition to losing both her arms in service to our country, Sergeant Dague has also battled breast cancer,” stated Stephanie Owen, NWFA president and CEO. “Despite these setbacks, she continues to inspire others with her positive attitude and fighting spirit. We’re honored to partner with Peachey Hardwood to provide beautiful real wood floors for her new home.”

NWFA has accomplished 86 houses via this system. It is working with members to provide wooden flooring for 13 further houses in varied levels of planning and development. A complete of 163 NWFA member firms have donated product, logistics and set up companies throughout the United States. Those contributions exceed $7 million in worth.
