Charlotte Flair isn’t thinking about retiring anytime soon
“None of that. It’s unfortunate that those sentences happen because I feel like in our industry, or my industry, men don’t reach their prime until 40. So, why… I guess I never… because I started late. I didn’t win my first title until I was 30. Where the girls are now, which is awesome, a lot of people are in their younger 20s but I graduated, had the awkward 20s of not knowing what to do, and then wrestling came later in life. But, saying that the men don’t hit their prime until 40, why am I not hitting my prime now?
“Why is it… I do not have a look at it as, sure, I notice that I believe it could be simpler for folks to label me in that field, however I’m not gonna let anybody put me in that field. And I hope ladies in any career who’re about to show 40 do not assume that could be a slowdown or an endgame. But if something if that is no matter trade that you just’re in and sport like Lindsey Vonn did, it is no matter you might be able to and are keen to do and put within the time. I began out… I’m very lucky. I began out on high, so it’d seem to be my profession is longer however I simply had the chance to be on the high of the sport. And now I’m not going to apologize anymore for, like, profitable.
