More than 113,000 electrical kettles offered at costco and HomeGoods have been recalled after studies that the handles can detach and spill scorching water, together with one reported second-degree burn, in response to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The recall, introduced May 14, entails ZWILLING JA Henckels Aktiengesellschaft Enfinigy Kettle and Enfinigy Kettle Pro electrical stainless-steel kettles after studies of the handles loosening and separating, posing a threat of great damage as a result of a burn hazard.
About 113,440 kettles have been recalled within the United States, in response to the CPSC report. An extra 43,963 have been offered in Canada and 48 have been offered in Mexico.

The agency obtained 163 studies of kettle handles loosening or separating, together with 5 incidents involving deal with separation and one reported second-degree burn.
The affected kettles could be recognized by mannequin numbers 53101-200 and 53101-201 for the 1.5L ENFINIGY Electric Kettle, and 53101-500, 53101-501, 53101-502, 53101-503 and 53101-504 for the 1.5L ENFINIGY Electric Kettle Pro.
The mannequin numbers and “ZWILLING” branding could be discovered on the underside of the kettle and the facility base.
