Max Lennon Sr. reunited with Carleen, the love of his life, on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Born in Alton on August 17, 1935, Max lived in Humboldt County his total life. He graduated from Hydesville Elementary School in 1949 after which Fortuna High School in 1953.

Max started his lifelong profession as a heavy tools operator working within the woods with Lennon Brothers Logging, operating any piece of apparatus that he might climb onto. Max strongly supported unionization and initiated with the Local 3 Operating Engineers Union on August 1, 1957, the place he ran bulldozer till his retirement on December 1, 1996. Max was particularly happy with engaged on the Warm Springs Dam that created Lake Sonoma from 1980 till 1982, and the US 101 Bypass of Prairie Creek within the early Nineties.
