Two killed after head-on crash on Highway 18
RAYMOND, Miss. (WLBT) – Two have been killed throughout a head-on crash between an SUV and a pickup truck on Highway 18.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on the freeway in Raymond on Friday morning round 4:22 am
Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard stated {that a} 51-year-old feminine, the motive force of the SUV, was pronounced lifeless on the scene. She was recognized as Ursula Hunley, who was a local of Utica.
MHP stated the motive force of the pickup truck, a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado, and a passenger of the SUV, a 2007 Honda Pilot, have been taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center after sustaining accidents. The passenger was recognized as 51-year-old Damaris Hunley, the dual sister of Ursula.
The driver of the truck, a 29-year-old male, handed away at UMMC, in accordance with the coroner. He was recognized as Justin Campbell, from Petal.
As of seven:12 am, each instructions of Highway 18 are open after being briefly shut down.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Raymond Fire Department, a number of ambulances, Aircare, and the Hinds County Coroner have been known as to the scene.
MHP stated the reason for the crash is below investigation.
