Sid Eudy’s son calls father’s WWE Hall of Fame Legacy induction “disrespectful as hell” – POST Wrestling
Gunnar Eudy, son of the late Sid Eudy, has sharply criticized WWE’s dealing with of his father’s posthumous induction into the Hall of Fame Legacy Wing on Friday evening.
Eudy referred to as the transient induction “straight up disappointing and disrespectful as hell.”
Sid, the 2-time WWF Champion and two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion recognized throughout his profession as Sid Justice, Sycho Sid and Sid Vicious, died on August 26, 2024, on the age of 63 after a personal battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Paul Levesque announced his Legacy Wing induction on March 24, calling his depth “palpable across the ring and through your TV screen.”
Friday’s Hall of Fame ceremony at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas was headlined by Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles, with Demolition and Dennis Rodman additionally receiving full induction speeches.
Sid and Bad News Brown have been inducted as Legacy honorees, a format that consisted of a video package deal with no stage time and no speech from household or an inducted presenter. Gunnar Eudy posted to Facebook on Saturday expressing his frustration with the ceremony.

The wing is meant to honor performers from earlier eras who might have been missed by the normal induction course of.
Last 12 months’s Legacy inductees have been Dory Funk Sr., Ivan Koloff and Kamala. Unlike the primary class of inductees, Legacy honorees don’t obtain a person presenter, a stage look or a dwell speech.
Sid fundamental-evented two WrestleManias throughout his profession — WrestleMania VIII towards Hulk Hogan in 1992 and WrestleMania 13 towards The Undertaker in 1997.
