Final Injury Report for Rockets-Thunder: Will Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein Play?

In Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs, Jaylin Williams led the way for the Thunder as he recorded 24 points, 12 rebounds and four assists while Kenrich Williams added 25 points and nine rebounds of his own.
Now Oklahoma City will try to bounce back on Saturday as they face off against the Rockets in a tough home matchup.
On the other side, Houston enters Saturday’s contest with a 31-19 record after losing at home to the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Rockets in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 31 points and three rebounds while Jabari Smith Jr. recorded 17 points and seven rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday afternoon’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Rockets, they have four players listed on their injury report, although Tari Eason is not one of them.

Of course, Eason missed Thursday’s loss due to injury management as they elected to sit him on the second night of their back-to-back but he is off the injury report and will return on Saturday.

Houston has listed Amen Thompson as questionable due to an illness and he is in danger of missing Saturday’s game.
If Thompson is sidelined, Reed Sheppard and Aaron Holiday could both be in line for increased roles.
The Rockets have ruled out Jae’Sean Tate as he will miss his second consecutive contest due to a left wrist contusion.

Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams have also been ruled out as they both remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.

On the other side, the Thunder have five players listed on their injury report, although both Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein are not among them.

Of course, Oklahoma City was without Holmgren, Hartenstein, Lu Dort and Alex Caruso on Wednesday against the Spurs but they are all off the injury report and will return on Saturday.

Jared McCain is also off the Thunder’s injury report after being acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of the trade deadline and he is expected to make his team debut against the Rockets.
Oklahoma City has ruled out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander due to an abdominal strain that is expected to keep him out until after the All-Star break.
With Shai sidelined, Cason Wallace, Caruso and Dort could all be in line for larger roles moving forward.
The Thunder have also ruled out Jalen Williams, Ajay Mitchell, Nikola Topic and Thomas Sorber as they all remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.
