Audiences shall be transported to Seventies Russia on 22 May with the arrival of new espionage thriller series PONIES, starring Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones, Me Before You) and Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus). Moscow, 1977. Two ‘PONIES’ (‘individuals of no curiosity’ in intelligence communicate) work anonymously as secretaries within the (*22*) Embassy. That is till their husbands are killed below mysterious circumstances within the USSR, and the pair change into CIA operatives.

Bea (Emilia Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking little one of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila (Haley Lu Richardson), is a small-town woman who’s as abrasive as she is fearless.
