Source: Panthers, QB Kenny Pickett agree to 1-year deal

The Carolina Panthers and quarterback Kenny Pickett agreed to a one-year, $7.5 million deal that features $4 million in ensures, a supply instructed ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

Pickett, 27, was the Las Vegas Raiders ‘ backup behind starter Gene Smith final season. Pickett appeared in six video games and made two begins. I’ve totaled 188 passing yards, a landing and a pair of interceptions. Pickett had a completion price of 62.2% and a QBR of three.4.

The Raiders traded away a fifth-round choose to the Cleveland Browns in alternate for Pickett final August after backup Aidan O’Connell was positioned on injured reserve with a wrist harm.

Pickett was drafted within the first spherical by the Steelers in 2022 and spent his first two seasons in Pittsburgh earlier than he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2024. He is 16-11 as a starter.

In 36 profession video games (27 begins), Pickett has thrown for 4,953 yards, 16 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
