“Early on in the show, he sat us down, and we were kind of doing pretty good. He goes, ‘You know, you guys are famous. You don’t deserve it. There’s a light on you. You got to take the light and you shine it on people that do deserve it, that do great things. They work harder than you, okay? You help them out,'” Williams recalled.

Williams credited Marshall’s phrases with serving to him, Winkler and Howard form a bond with one another and stated that after that, Happy Days turned a “very selfless show.”
