Crisis escalates as petrol stations across NSW run out of fuel

Despite assurances from the federal government that fuel stocks across NSW are high quality, dozens of petrol stations across the state are beginning to run dry.

At least 42 petrol stations are reportedly out of fuel, and virtually double don’t have any diesel.

Petrol stations in Baulkham Hills have run out utterly, with drivers being pressured to go away with out filling up.

“I was hoping I’d get some, at least a little bit,” one driver informed 9News.

“We’ve got ‘out of orders’ everywhere, it’s crazy,” one other mentioned.

Drivers are pointing the finger at political leaders, right here and abroad.

“The orange man (is responsible), unfortunately, he’s got a lot to answer for,” a driver informed 9News.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese warned panic consumers right this moment, urging drivers to take no extra fuel than they want.

“My message to Australians is don’t take extra fuel than you want, that’s how one can assist,” he mentioned.

“Every single ship that was due to land here has landed here.

“This has been a difficulty of elevated demand.”

NSW PremierEdit Chris Minns echoed calls for calm, but acknowledged the future remains uncertain.

“Allows us extra time to arrange for each eventuality if the battle within the Persian Gulf continues,” Minns said.

The rising prices are causing Australians to look for alternatives, including public transport and even electric vehicles instead.

Google searches for electric cars have risen over the past few weeks, particularly for big manufacturers like tesla and BYD.
