Two Clarksville-Montgomery County students dead after field trip bus crash


A faculty bus carrying students and employees from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System was concerned in a lethal crash in Carroll County whereas touring to a field trip, authorities stated.

Officials stated the bus, from Kenwood Middle School, was headed to Jackson when it was concerned in a crash with a number of automobiles close to the intersection of Highway 70 and Cedar Grove.

During a Friday afternoon media briefing, authorities stated the crash concerned the varsity bus, a Tennessee Department of Transportation dump truck, and a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Officials stated there have been 25 students and 5 adults on the bus. Two students have been killed within the crash.

The TDOT car had two adults inside, and one grownup was within the Chevrolet, in response to officers. No further particulars about their circumstances have been instantly launched.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is main the investigation.
