Olivia Rodrigo’s new music video helps kids affected by war
Olivia Rodrigo’s latest music video is a pointy departure from the pop-punk angst of previous tasks.
Created for her cowl of The Magnetic Fields’ track, “The Book of Love,” the music video is a fantastic but sobering journey of childhood underneath battle, with clips filmed by kids in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and Yemen.
Rodrigo recorded the track for War Child Records’ new charity album, “Help(2),” which helps world nonprofit War Child and its efforts to “protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict around the world.”
War Child Records launched their first “Help” album in 1995, which was created by Paul McCartney, Sinéad O’Connor, Radiohead, and extra, to lift cash for the Bosnia battle within the Nineties.
“The album is still hailed as one of the greatest charity albums of all time and helped set War Child on the proud course it now follows,” statement from War Child Records reads.
Other charity albums have been launched within the years since, however “Help(2)” is very devoted to the world’s most urgent conflicts across the globe as we speak. In addition to Rodrigo, artists on the album embody Arctic Monkeys, Arlo Parks, Beabadoobee, Big Thief, Fontaines DC, Wet Leg, and extra.
Rodrigo’s cover of “The Book of Love” makes the proper soundtrack for War Child Records’ new video, which was launched per week in the past.
In it, kids from battle areas present clips of their on a regular basis lives, operating round and laughing in areas full of rubble, enjoying in open fields, and capturing sounds of planes overhead.
