Concerns about Athena’s survival comes after the ABC sequence shook issues up by killing off Peter Krause‘s fan favorite character Bobby. After the present confronted backlash for killing off Bobby, Krause, 60, launched an announcement about his surprising departure.

“I don’t think it’s going to be, you know, that real sad, sad grieving process that we’re used to seeing,” Bassett teased completely to Us Weekly in August 2025 about what’s to return. “[She’ll be] throwing herself back into work. You can’t catch her. She won’t land somewhere. She keeps moving. Keeps distracting herself.”

Bassett famous that even when folks attempt to “hold her still,” Athena will break away. “It’s like, ‘Put me out there, [Captain]. Put me on the field,’” she shared.
