First Alert 6 welcomes Matt Serwe to the weather team
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The First Alert 6 Weather team is happy to welcome Matt Serwe again to the Omaha metro!
Serwe will be a part of Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord and Meteorologist Emily Roehler at the WOWT weather desk in April as our new Chief Meteorologist, bringing weeknight viewers a primary alert to weather developments in the space.
Serwe is departing the Minneapolis space, the place he labored as the weekend meteorologist at KSTP. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he has a level in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and has earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from The American Meteorological Society.
Matt says he is excited to return to Omaha, the place he spent 9 years as a morning information meteorologist. During that point, he helped cowl the twin EF-4 tornadoes that hit Pilger, Neb., in addition to the catastrophic floods in Spring 2019.
