Sister’s Homestyle Entrees receives Small Business Award
Sister’s Homestyle Entrees of Humboldt obtained the Small Business of the Week Award from US Senator Joni Ernst final week.
Ernst, who’s Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, has made it some extent to current the award to companies in all 99 counties of Iowa and enter them into the Congressional Record.
In her Humboldt cease on May 8, Ernst offered the award to firm proprietor Mary Catherine Ferry in a gathering of firm workers and well-wishers.
“The fact that they do so much for this community but for other communities and those who are not able to get out to the grocery stores or maybe are elderly and can’t prepare their own meals, it just does so much good,” Ernst mentioned. “She has so many wonderful employees here as part of the team. That’s why I’m proud to present her the Small Business of the Week Award to Sister’s Homestyle Entrees of Humboldt.”
“I visited the company before when Deb Davis owned the company. They make great meals and cover a lot of territory,” Ernst mentioned.
“Iowa is comprised of small businesses. Mostly across rural areas. They are what make our communities thrive,” Ernst mentioned.
“Roughly ninety-nine percent of businesses in Iowa are small businesses,” Ernst mentioned.
