More than 200 flights canceled at DFW International Airport

Jordan Parker is the aviation beat reporter for The Dallas Morning News. He covers how air journey impacts North Texas and far of his time is spent chronicling the impression Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport are having on the area.

Prior to his arrival in Texas, Jordan had a three-year stint as a breaking information reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle, the place he lined common information, equivalent to labor points, transportation, the emergence of driverless automobiles, crime and wildfires. In 2024, the San Francisco Press Club honored him and a colleague with a breaking information award after a lady was struck and dragged by a Cruise robotaxi on the streets of San Francisco.

Before he joined the Chronicle, Jordan attended Sacramento State University the place he earned his Bachelors diploma in journalism.

At Sacramento State he grew to become the primary Black editor in chief of The State Hornet, the award-winning student-run campus newspaper. He led a workers of over 60 editors, reporters, broadcasters, and photographers, and served as the general public face of the newsroom. Under his management, the paper enacted its first-ever range initiative, which centered on overlaying underrepresented communities on campus and gained its first Online Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press.
