Mexico will face Haiti in Concacaf W to qualify for the World Cup and Olympic Games
Toluca (Mexico), April 21 (EFE).- The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) introduced this Tuesday that the Mexican girls’s workforce will face Haiti in the Concacaf W Championship in Houston, Texas, in search of tickets for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
The contest, which will happen from November 27 to December 5, will award 4 locations to the World Cup and three to the Olympic Games.
“The tournament will feature the eight best national teams in the region, including the United States and Canada, the two highest-ranked teams in Concacaf, and the six teams that qualified through the Concacaf W 2025-2026 qualifier,” the FMF stated in a press release.
Mexico, which is led by Spanish coach Pedro López, earned its place in the Concacaf W Championship after ending first in group A of the qualifier with an ideal step forward of its rivals Puerto Rico, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Virgin Islands and Saint Lucia.
López seeks to return to the Mexican workforce to a World Cup, after it didn’t qualify for France 2019 and Australia and New Zealand 2023.
