Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald, David Harewood Board ‘War’ Season 2

Marisa Tomei, (*2*)and David Harewood will lead season two of Sky and HBO‘s returning authorized drama Warforward of the present’s season one launch.

Following a two-season order and created by hijack‘s George Kay, War follows two of London’s most prestigious rival corporations — Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne — as they go head-to-head in a sequence of headline-making authorized battles. “Each side is certain they’ll win. But as cases spiral and loyalties fracture, reputations are on the line, and everyone’s playing to win,” a plot synopsis reads.

The first installment, led by Sienna Miller and Dominic Westis ready to debut later this 12 months. It’ll comply with the high-profile divorce case between tech titan Morgan Henderson (West) and international movie star Carla Duval (Miller).

Season two will see the rival legislation corporations tackle an explosive defamation case. Spider-Man Tomei stars as Avery Reed and No Country for Old Men‘s Kelly Macdonald as Jo MacNeil, alongside David Harewood (homeland) as Jefferson Allen, and Richard Schiff as Elliott Wyatt.

Joining them are Claire Skinner, Omari Douglas, Kadiff Kirwan, Douglas Booth, Charles Edwards, Luca Pasqualino, Rebecca Front, Alexandra Maria Lara, Linus Roache, Violet Braeckman, Sasha Behar, Sid Phoenix, Cornelius Booth and Megan Channell.

War is co-produced by New Pictures (Catherine the Great, Gone) and Kay’s Observatory Pictures (Gone), in affiliation with Sky and HBO.

Kay is lead author, with extra episodes written by Kelly Jones, Jess Brittain, Catherine Shepherd, Yemi Oyefuwa and Krissie Ducker. The sequence’ lead director is Ben Taylor.

War will air on Sky and streaming service NOW within the UK, Ireland and Italy, and on Sky and WOW in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It will air on HBO and HBO Max within the US, and stream on HBO Max in Australia and Asia. International gross sales of the sequence will likely be dealt with by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
