Beloved Country Duo Announce Breakup in Emotional Message: ‘Grateful for the Ride’
Neon Union have determined to go their separate methods.
In a joint Instagram letter on FridayApril 24, the beloved country music duo introduced their determination to disband. The proficient pair, made up of Leo Brooks and Andrew Millsapsadded that the alternative got here after a whole lot of “thought and consideration.”
“After a lot of thought and consideration, we’ve decided to go our separate ways. This chapter of Neon Union is closing,” the duo’s Millsaps wrote in a slideshow, which showcases numerous pictures of Neon Union by way of the years. “What a ride we have had! I love Leo, and he will always be my friend and brother. I’m grateful for every chapter of my book in life. Neon Union was a very impactful and special chapter in that book. I’ve done things I’ve never dreamed possible, and made lifelong memories.”
Millsaps, who, with Brooks, shaped in 2022 and inked a cope with Red Street Records’ nation division, went on to thank the label for “the opportunity to put our music out to the world.”
“…We’ve accomplished bucket list check marks that a small town boy from Mayberry could have only dreamed of,” he mentioned, earlier than stating just a few of the band’s early milestones. “From an ACM nomination to the Grand Ole Opry Circle, I cannot express how lucky and blessed I am to have been part of this journey, but I am ready for the next one. The closing of this chapter might be the end of one, but it’s the beginning of the next. I’m excited for what’s to come. To the Neon Union fans, I want to say thank you “so much for all of your love and support.”
They Still Plan to Write Songs Together
As for Brooks, I have shared his message, adding that while the two will be embarking on separate career paths, they will still come together to write songs.
“Life is a journey, and I’m simply grateful for the journey. I’ve discovered rather a lot from Neon Union and had nice instances,” Brooks mentioned. “Andrew will always be my best friendand we will still write songs together.”
“Big thanks to the whole Red Street team, now it’s time to go wherever God leads me,” he added. “Thank you to all of the NU fans, love y’all, and here’s to the next chapter, cheers. Leo Brooks.”

Since forming in 2022, Neon Union has performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage, received an Academy of Country Music (ACM) nomination for New Duo/Group of the Year, and has either opened for or collaborated with top artists like Hardy,Scotty McCreeryand pitbull. The duo is behind songs like “Bout Damn Time” and “Made In Mexico.”
