Packers trade up to select Florida K Trey Smack in sixth round, No. 216 overall

GREEN BAY – The Packers traded each of their seventh-round picks Saturday to make their closing number of the draft, transferring up to take Florida kicker Trey Smack at No. 216 overall, the final choose of the sixth spherical.

Green Bay acquired the choose from Seattle, who obtained the No. 236 and 255 overall alternatives in the seventh spherical.

Smack (6-1¼, 188) has an enormous leg, setting the Florida college report with 10 made discipline objectives of 50-plus yards over the previous three seasons. He made 10-of-13 from 50-plus, together with 5-of-6 final season with an extended of 56 yards. He was named third-team All-SEC.

For his profession, Smack made 53-of-64 discipline objectives (82.8%) and 100-of-101 further factors (99%). Known for his excessive trajectory, Smack had only one kick blocked, again in 2023.

Smack comes to Green Bay because the third kicker on the present roster, becoming a member of veteran Brandon McManus and Lucas Havrisik.
