76ers upgrade Embiid to doubtful ahead of Game 3 vs. Celtics


The Philadelphia 76ers upgraded star heart Joel Embiid to doubtful Thursday night ahead of Friday’s Game 3 at residence towards the Boston Celtics.

Embiid had an emergency appendectomy two weeks in the past in Houston, the newest in a collection of unlucky harm breaks throughout his profession. He has been out since, though he appeared on the bench for final week’s play-in victory at residence towards the Orlando Magic.

“We’re, obviously, really hopeful, and I think he’s really hopeful,” 76ers coach Nick Nurse informed reporters after Thursday’s follow. “He wants to play, and we want him to play.

“I do not know the way shut we’re to that at this level, however I feel there’s some progress being made.”
