Draft Notes: Boozer, Momcilovic, Bonke, Tobiason, More

In an interview with Mark Medina of EssentiallySportsDuke ahead Cameron Boozer made his case for being chosen No. 1 total within the 2026 NBA draft.

“There are a lot of great candidates, for sure“Boozer told EssentiallySports.”…But what I think separates me is my competitiveness and my winning. It’s my willingness to do whatever it takes to win.”

Still, Boozer, who’s extensively projected to be a top-four choose, mentioned he is not involved about the place he is chosen.

“It doesn’t matter to me at all. That’s just the beginning“Boozer said.”Whether you are one, two or 30 or 35, that is only the start. For me, it is extra about the place I’m in 10 to fifteen years than the place I’m on the primary evening.”

Boozer additionally talked to Medina about drawing inspiration from present NBA gamers, itemizing Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paolo Banchero and LaMelo Ball as few of the gamers he enjoys watching.

• Iowa State junior Milan Momcilovic formally confirmed (via Twitter) Sunday that he is declaring for the draft, as previously reported. • Charlotte large man Anton Bonke is testing the draft waters, agent Scott Nichols tells Jon Chepkevich of DraftSpecific (Twitter link). A 7’2″ heart from Vanuatu, Bonke averaged 10.6 factors, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 34 video games (25.6 minutes) as a junior for the 49ers. Bonke can also be within the switch portal.
• Temple sophomore Aiden Tobiason is getting into the switch portal and testing the draft waters, agent Ken Jackson tells Jacob Myers (Twitter link). Utah junior Terrence Brown is one other early draft entrant who’s getting into the switch portal, he introduced on social media (Twitter link). Dominican-Iranian wing Mohammad Amini can also be testing the draft waters, per agent Aydin Dianat (LinkedIn link). Amini has spent the previous two seasons with Nancy Basket in France’s high home basketball league (hat tip to Chepkevich at RookieScale.com). Brown and Amini each examined the draft waters final summer season previous to withdrawing.
