Annual Chilifest brings thousands of attendees to Snook

SNOOK, Texas (KBTX) – The Chilifest is bringing thousands of folks to Snook this weekend.

The Chilifest began in 1999 as a small cookout and has since grown to a two-day music pageant that mixes the love of chili, nation and rock music.

This 12 months, the visitors created a problem for visitors with automobiles slowing to a crawl alongside the freeway as a number of legislation enforcement companies and occasion safety monitored visitors circulation.

For his first Chilifest, Coleman stated the environment is price it.

“It just seems like a great environment — it’s lots of people, good community, and it’s full of tradition, which is what A&M’s all about,” he stated.

Even with the rain and heavy visitors, Adrienne Ryza and Tabbi Taylor stated they’re prepared to take advantage of of the weekend.

“It’s been hectic—we’re seeing a lot of traffic, but it’s okay. We’re so excited and we’re ready. We’re looking forward to partying, making friends, socializing,” Ryza and Taylor stated.
