Southeast Michigan storms: Tracking severe thunderstorms on Tuesday, May 19
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (FOX 2) – Stop if you’ve heard this already this week — Southeast Michigan is below a severe climate risk as a chilly entrance collides with heat air sitting on prime of Metro Detroit.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued earlier within the day on Tuesday – with the expectation that severe thunderstorm warnings can be put in place as properly.
Around 2:30 pm – most of southern Oakland County was below a severe thunderstorm warning as these cells began to bubble up. The storms are transferring shortly with speeds of 60 MPH and quarter-sized hail attainable.
