Austin police working to identify suspect in multiple ‘random’ shootings

AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is asking for the general public’s help in figuring out a suspect accused of multiple shootings on Saturday and Sunday.
The shooter has carried out up to 9 assaults, injuring as many as 4 individuals, in accordance to preliminary data.
According to police, there isn’t any particular motive or location to the shootings, they usually seem to be random. At least two of the shootings occurred at Austin hearth stations.
“At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and APD asks that our community remain vigilant,” the division stated in a press launch on Sunday.
The suspect is described as a male in his late teenagers, driving a black or darkish blue 2012 Hyundai Sonata with a damaged proper passenger window, pictured under. The suspect might also be driving a gold sedan or a white Kia Optimapolice stated.
A shelter-in-place has been issued for a big space of South Austin inside Slaughter Lane, McKinney Falls Parkway, Ben White Boulevard and Escarpment Boulevard due to an ongoing legislation enforcement incident.
