Video shows Aina Haina man moving rubble as fire burns nearby

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man charged with failing to stop the general public from hazard has been launched.

Somsack Phanthavong, 51, was taken into custody after Monday’s fire on Lawelawe Street in Aina Haina. He was charged with failure to control widely dangerous meansa misdemeanor offense.

A choose ordered him to return to courtroom on March 31.

Neighbors say the previous Navy diver has been residing in a tree home on the property.

They vented a litany of concerns about past confrontations with the owner, strange visitors, and erratic behavior at a neighborhood assembly final September.
