UConn drops in AP Poll following St. John’s loss


STORRS, CT (WFSB) – Last Monday, UConn dropped to No. 3 in the Associated Press’s Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Poll. That was without a loss.

Monday, the Huskies dropped to No. 6 because of Friday’s loss to No. 22 St. John’s.

The Red Storm took the top-25 matchup against UConn at Madison Square Garden 81-72.

Silas Demary Jr. led the Huskies with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.

However, he also committed 9 turnovers.

UConn fared well from three point territory, but shot only 42 percent from the free throw line.

UConn’s record fell to 22-2 overall and 12-1 in the Big East Conference.

Next, the Huskies head out to Indianapolis for a date with Butler.
