‘The Bride!’ to start streaming May 22 on HBO Max


May 15 (UPI) — The Bride! is coming to HBO Max subsequent week.

The movie will start streaming May 22 on HBO Max and likewise premiere that day at 8 pm ET on HBO, a press launch states.

The Bride! is a romantic drama written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. The film is impressed by the 1935 movie Bride of Frankensteinwhich itself is predicated on the Mary Shelley novel Frankenstein.

The Bride! stars options Bale as a lonely “Frank,” who travels to Thirties Chicago to ask the scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered younger girl (Buckley) and The Bride is born.

“What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!” an official synopsis reads.

Peter Skarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penelope Cruz additionally star.

The Bride! opened in theaters in March. HBO Max may also launch an American Sign Language (ASL) model of the movie carried out by Yamila Davis and directed by Rosa Lee Timm.
