Slippery travel possible across New Hampshire Wednesday morning as snow tapers off
EVENT UNLESS FIFA OR THE KRAFT SPORTS GROUP COVER THE COSTS. SNOW COMING DOWN RIGHT NOW FROM PORTSMOUTH TO EPPING. YOU CAN SEE WE GOT SNOWFLAKES THERE ON 101, AND THE CREWS HAVE A BUSY NIGHT AHEAD. I THINK A LOT OF FOLKS CHIEF METEOROLOGIST MIKE HADDAD ARE WAKING UP TO A CLEAN UP JOB COME TOMORROW MORNING IN THE DRIVEWAY. YEAH, UNLESS YOU’RE GOING TO BE UP THERE IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO AND, YOU KNOW, SCRAPING THE DRIVEWAY AND WAKING UP THE NEIGHBORS, AND THAT’S A WHOLE NOTHER ISSUE, RIGHT? WHAT TIME DO YOU RUN THE SNOWBLOWER? IS 6:00 TOO EARLY? WELL, FOR US, FOR THIS SHIFT, IT IS. BUT YOU GOT TO CLEAN UP FROM THIS HEAVY SNOW RIGHT NOW IN THE QUEEN CITY. HOWEVER, PACKAGE ALREADY APPROACHING WITHIN THE NEXT, SAY, 30 TO 45 MINUTES. THE SNOW DONE IN A GOOD PORTION OF THE MERRIMACK VALLEY. 28 AT THE AIRPORT. FEEL LIKE READING 18 WINDCHILL IS THERE DUE TO THAT WIND OUT OF THE SOUTH AT 11MPH? THE AIRPORT DID NOT SHUT DOWN. MATTER OF FACT, WE HAD A PLANE LAND IN MANCHESTER WITHIN THE LAST HOUR. SO AGAIN, CREWS ARE KEEPING UP NOT ONLY ON THE ROADWAYS BUT ALSO IN THE AIR. SO THE SNOW WRAPS UP SHORTLY. SLICK TRAVEL OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. VISIBILITY DRAMATICALLY IMPROVES BUT THE TEMPS ARE RUNNING 32 OR LOWER STATEWIDE THROUGH THE MORNING DRIVE TOMORROW. SO THAT’S WHY IT WILL BE SLIPPERY OUT THERE IN MANY SPOTS. BREAK THE CREWS CLEANING OUT OF THE SNOW OFF THE ROADS. QUIET FOR THE BALANCE OF THE WEEK. SNOW SHOWERS FOR SOME TOMORROW, MAINLY UP NORTH. BUT HOW ABOUT THIS? NO ARCTIC AIR FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS, SO GETTING THERE. SMALL STEPS DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ARE GROWING. WE’VE GOT A SUNSET NOW APPROACHING 530 WITHIN THE NEXT A WEEK AND A HALF, AND BY EARLY IN MARCH, WE JUMP PAST 640 WITH THE SUNSET. SO THINGS ARE TRENDING TOWARDS SPRING, BUT ANYTHING BUT SPRING FOR NOW. THE SNOW FALLING AT A GOOD CLIP. CONCORD. MANCHESTER. MERRIMACK JAFFREY PETERBOROUGH ALL THE WAY OVER TOWARDS THE COASTLINE UP TO ROCHESTER. SPAULDING TURNPIKE A REAL MESS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. SAME STORY ALONG ROUTE 101 AND 9395 AS WELL. HOWEVER, BACK TO THE WEST THE SNOW HAS ENDED. PLACES LIKE HANOVER, LEBANON, CHARLESTOWN, CLAREMONT, ALL GETTING IN ON JUST A FEW FLURRIES AS THE STEADY, ACCUMULATING SNOW IS LONG GONE. THAT WILL HAPPEN SHORTLY AS WELL IN THE GREAT NORTH WOODS AND THROUGH THE WHITE MOUNTAINS. NOT A WHOLE LOT BACK HERE DURING THE OVERNIGHT STRETCH, HOWEVER. TEMPS AS MENTIONED FREEZING OR BELOW EARLIER THIS EVENING. NOW ALL IN THE 20S. FALLING BACK A LITTLE BIT IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS. SO AGAIN, EVEN THOUGH THE CREWS ARE CLEANING UP A LOT OF THE MAIN SNOW, THERE’S STILL THAT COATING OF SNOW ON. A LOT OF THE ROADS WILL BE SLIPPERY FOR THE MORNING DRIVE TOMORROW. TOMORROW SNOW SHOWERS UP NORTH DRY ELSEWHERE. MAYBE A FLURRY OR A SPOT SNOW SHOWER, BUT MANY DRY HOURS. 20 NORTH, 20 ON SOUTH. HOWEVER, BY TOMORROW MIDDAY ON WE ARE FREEZING OR ABOVE THAT MEANS THE ROAD CONDITIONS DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE FOR THE AFTERNOON STRETCH. SO SHOWER UP NORTH. FLURRY ON SOUTH SUN AND CLOUDS. BREEZY A LITTLE BIT COOLER DURING THE DAY ON THURSDAY. AGAIN, BEST CHANCE OF LINGERING FLAKES TOMORROW. NORTH AND WEST OF THE STATE CAPITAL. MORE SUN THURSDAY AND FRIDAY EVEN INTO OUR WEEKEND. ONE CHANCE OF A SNOW SHOWER THROUGH SATURDAY. NONE ON SUNDAY AND AS LONG AS THAT OCEAN STORM STAYS WAY OUT TO SEA, WE’RE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. EARLY NEXT WEEK, SUN CLOUDS 40 FOR SOME 30 TO THE NORTH. NOT ARCTIC AIR. WHO KNEW IT WOULD BE CELEBRATING 40? THAT’
