Sidney Crosby to play vs. Canes, first game since Milan injury

Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby will return to the lineup in opposition to the Carolina Hurricanes after sitting out since his Olympics-ending lower-body injury.

Penguins coach Dan Muse advised reporters Wednesday morning that Crosby was prepared to play, with the Pittsburgh captain addressing his return as nicely.

“Just happy to finally be back in there,” Crosby advised reporters.

Crosby had missed 11 video games for the Penguins since the NHL’s return from the Olympic break. He was injured throughout Canada’s quarterfinal win over Czechia on successful from Anaheim Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas.

He was positioned on injured reserve, with the Penguins initially saying Crosby can be out no less than 4 weeks; Wednesday is the four-week mark since his injury on the Milan Games.

Crosby, 38, stays the Penguins’ staff chief with 27 targets and 59 factors this season.
