Samara Weaving & Kathryn Newton Fight To Survive In Horror Sequel
“Has it really been almost seven years sinceReady Or Not“hit theaters? It’s hard to believe, but it’s true, and those pandemic years make it feel even longer. Since then, though, Radio Silence filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have become household names in horror, helming two well-received “Scream” sequels and 2024’s “Abigail,” which critics weren’t as wild about.

It makes sense, then, for Radio Silence to return to the world that put them on the genre map. And that’s exactly what they’re doing with “Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come,” a sequel that picks up seconds after the 2019 film ends. It turns out that the murderous game heroine Samara Weaving thinks she won’t be over, and the next round involves her protecting her estranged sister, played by another new scream queen, Kathryn Newton.

Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.
Along with Weaving and Newton, Bettinelli-Olpin & Gillett’s horror sequel also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Nestor Carbonell, David Cronenbergand Elijah Wood.
Radio Silence compadres Guy Busick & R.Christopher Murphy pen the script for “Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come.” Producers on the sequel include Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, William Sherakand Bradley J Fischer.
