Red flag at IndyCar practice as workers walk on Texas track


ARLINGTON, Texas — IndyCar officers needed to throw a crimson flag to sluggish the vehicles as they have been pulling out of the pit space throughout Saturday’s practice when three workers have been noticed on the new track.

No one was injured.

Practice for the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington resumed after a delay of a number of minutes as IndyCar officers checked the non permanent 2.73-mile, 14-turn circuit on the streets across the stadiums of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.

The tv broadcast confirmed the trio of workers who gave the impression to be a part of a catering crew. One of them was pushing a catering cart in a spot between AT&T Stadium, the Cowboys’ house, and a close-by hospitality space.

Cars working towards for Sunday’s race hadn’t but gotten on top of things when the track breach was noticed.
