Public schools on Oahu, Kauai, Maui County to close Friday for severe weather
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – All O’ahu, Kaua’i and Maui County public schools, and Hawaii State Department of Education places of work will probably be closed Friday March 13 in anticipation of severe weather situations.
The resolution was made out of an abundance of warning due to considerations associated to flooding, highway situations and potential energy outages throughout a number of communities. While the Department acknowledges the significance of each educational day, pupil and workers security stays a precedence.
There will probably be no in-person instruction or extracurricular actions on March 13 on O’ahu, Kauaʻi, Maui, Molokai and Lānaʻi. Students and workers mustn’t report to campuses or HIDOE places of work except particularly directed.
Schools and places of work on Hawai’i Island will stay open right now.
Students and academics statewide are scheduled to be on spring break March 16-20.
All UH campuses on Oʻahu and in Maui County will probably be closed on Friday, March 13, due to severe weather anticipated to impression the state. Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi County haven’t but decided concerning closures.
