MEXICO CITY, February 5 (EL UNIVERSAL).- The Rayos de Necaxa began Clausura 2026 with a win in their favor on matchday one, which seemed like a promising start for those led by Martín Varini, but now, with three consecutive defeats, the Aguascalientes team will have to return to victory and has the opportunity when they host San Luis.

The Rayos, after the last 2-0 defeat against América, will recover their star forward Julián Carranza, who did not see activity due to suspension, but they will not have midfielder Kevin Gutiérrez available for having received a red card against the Azulcremas.
For now the Aguascalientes team is 15th in the competition with three points.
For its part, Atlético de San Luis comes from a 3-2 defeat against Chivas, but even so, the Potosinos add four points, placing themselves in 11th position in the general table.
One of the strengths of the San Luis team in the championship is the figure of its center forward, Joao Pedro, born in Brazil, but with Italian nationality, for now the scoring leader with four goals.
Geraldino Dos Santos Galvao has also been in the eye of the hurricane in the closing of signings, since the sports press placed him in the ranks of Cruz Azul or other teams.
