This decision has been adopted “by common agreement” between both clubs, after the Andalusian Government announced in a statement this Saturday afternoon the postponement of this match due to the storm that has been hitting the province of Seville and other Andalusian provinces for several days, and the possible effects of the new storm Marta.
The State Meteorological Agency has activated warnings in all Andalusian provinces, with orange level in Seville, Cádiz, Huelva, Almería and Granada, which has increased concern about possible complications in access and movement during the day.

The new date for the match was not communicated.
“Real Oviedo expresses its deep discontent for the serious setback generated and for the substantial alteration of the conditions of availability of players that directly affects our team, taking into account the qualifying situation and the relevance of the points in dispute for both entities,” explains the blue club in its statement.
Oviedo, which stands in solidarity with “the staff, the coaching staff and the fans of Rayo Vallecano”, emphasizes that this decision “represents obvious damage both from a sporting, organizational and economic point of view” for the Carbayona entity.
“We understand that there are some rules of the game and they have been broken. Every game we have at home we have to pass LaLiga tests and there are sanctions, so this situation is shameful. It clearly shows the state our competition is going through, all the rules have been broken,” said Real Oviedo’s sporting director, Roberto Suárez, in statements shared by the club.
