Kathleen Turner is letting folks know the way they wish to be addressed at occasions.
Reporters shouted her first identify because the actress, 71, made a uncommon appearance at the Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premiere in New York on March 10. The actress, who used a cane to get to her seat, settled in as attendees took her photograph.
As flashes went off, a video exhibits Turner getting the eye of the gang of journalists, then saying, “You know what I really like, at this age? Miss Turner.”
The group obliged and commenced saying “Miss Turner” when calling out to her. She pointed at one photographer who did so, providing a wink in response.

Fans have been delighted to see Turner, who final made a public look on the New York City premiere of The Rosesa remake of the 1989 movie The War of the Rosesby which she starred. Turner performed Barbara Rose within the unique movie, which adopted the breakdown of a rich Washington DC couple’s marriage, reverse Michael Douglas as husband Oliver Rose. Danny DeVito performs Oliver’s divorce lawyer at the hours of darkness comedy movie.
Throughout the Nineteen Eighties, Turner had a series of hits with Douglastogether with Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile and extra. In 2021, Turner opened as much as PEOPLE solely about her chemistry with Douglas in that movie.
“Oh, I was yearning, babe, but he was still married [to first wife Diandra Luker] …although they were separated, and so I thought there was hope for me,” she admitted.
“It was that wonderful sexual tension, you know?” she continued. “When you really, really know you want somebody — and I’m saying it went both ways — and you can’t have them. It’s just lovely.”

PEOPLE caught up with Turner and Douglas in 2021, as they reunite for The Kominsky Method with Douglas celebrating how the 2 “know each other so well.”
“You protect and cherish when you’ve got a good relationship,” the Oscar winner informed PEOPLE, sharing that working with Turner once more was “so much fun.”
“It just is a comfort factor. Then you get to see it on screen and [realize]’Oh, this is really good,’ “he stated.
“It was a no-brainer,” Turner stated of the choice. “They say it’s like slipping on an old shoe, which I assume means that it’s one of your favorite things. And that’s how it feels.”
