Josh Radnor and Wife Jordana Welcome Their First Baby

Josh Radnor and his wife, Jordana Jacobs, are now a family of three!

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the How I Met Your Mother star, 51, announced that he and his wife, with whom he tied the knot in January 2024, have welcomed their first baby together.

“So my wife and I had a baby a few months ago (!!),” the actor wrote next to a series of photos of him and his wife with their baby.

“Here’s what we know so far: His smile lights up the room,” Radnor wrote. “He’s super observant and thoughtful. He gets hypnotized when I play him songs on the guitar. He thinks the word ‘baba ghanoush’ is hysterical. He’s a total delight and Jordana and I are thrilled he’s here.”

“Thanks for all the kind words from @howwemadeyourmother listeners (I dropped the news a few episodes back on the podcast.),” Radnor wrote, referring to the podcast he hosts with series co-creator Craig Thomas. “Sending love to all my fellow parents of newborns out there. What a wild, beautiful, exhausting, heart-opening initiation. So grateful.”

Radnor’s photo gallery began with a sweet photo of himself holding his baby close to his face. In another, the baby, whose name was not shared, rested on a guitar as Radnor tuned it up. The third photo showed Jordana in a hospital bed resting with the newborn.

The post received congratulatory messages from some of Radnor’s fans and famous friends, including Rachel Zegler, who wrote, “CONGRATS FAMILY!!!”

While speaking about married life to PEOPLE in November 2024, Radnor said, “It’s fantastic. I love it. I love it.”

“I know you’re supposed to say that, but I actually love it,” he continued.

Asked what his favorite part of married life was, Radnor said, “I like the mornings, and I like the nights.”

“I mean, we sometimes don’t see each other during the day because of work stuff, so I love waking up together and then reconnecting at the end of the day,” Radnor explained. “And we keep saying, ‘Let’s catch up. We need to catch up,’ so we’ve been doing a lot of that.”
