John Deere Rolls Out New High-Speed Disk Sizes and Autonomy-Ready Tillage

John Deere is making updates to its tillage lineup with new high-speed disk (HSD) models and expanded autonomy-ready options for model years 2026 and 2027. The new models aim to help farmers better manage their time and productivity.

“The new expanded John Deere tillage portfolio reflects what we continue to hear from farmers — the need for tools that fit their operation, acres, and timeline,” said Michael Porter, John Deere marketing manager for tillage equipment, in a news release. “From new sizes to expanded autonomy ready options, these updates provide customers with more ways to complete critical fieldwork efficiently during tight post-harvest and pre-planting seasons.”

Expanded High-Speed Disk Portfolio

New 2-section HSD models will be available in 15-, 19-, 22-, and 25-foot widths, offering increased flexibility. These models will build on the 3-section HSD models announced last year. The new models will come autonomy ready and will feature the same durable frame design and residue flow as the 3-section models.

“We heard from customers who needed the benefits and performance of the high-speed disk in a more compact option,” Porter said. “The new 2-section options in smaller widths deliver that flexibility while maintaining the field finish that defines the HSD lineup.”

New Autonomy Ready Options

Autonomy ready capability is now available from the factory for the 2730 combination ripper and the 64- and 69-foot models of the 2230 field cultivator.

John Deere precision upgrade kits will be available for order this summer for farmers with 2016 or newer 2730 cultivators. Field cultivator upgrade kits are available now.

Autonomous tillage aims to ease the time crunch many farmers face and increase productivity.

“The fall is usually a grind,” Porter said. “You get all of your crop harvested, take a deep breath for about 10 seconds, and then it’s time to get your tillage done before it freezes. Imagine wrapping up combining and being 75% done with your tillage.”

Other benefits are harder to measure, but no less important.

“There’s the return-on-investment part of productivity,” Porter said. “There’s also stuff that’s really hard to quantify, like dinner with the family. It really just depends on what the priority of the farmer is.”

2510H Series Renamed

The 2510H Series will be renamed the “Disk Applicator Series Applicators,” aligning John Deere’s applicator portfolio with the broader tillage portfolio.

“John Deere continues to listen to our customers by expanding and aligning the tillage portfolio to meet the needs of operations of all sizes,” Porter said. “With the [marketing year 2027] updates, we continue to deliver proven durability, increased flexibility, and technology-ready solutions that help farmers maximize productivity.”
