How much snow are we getting today? –NBC Boston
A clipper system is bringing a quick-moving round of snow this evening and overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, starting late this afternoon and evening and wrapping up before commute time Wednesday.
Travel will get iffy during the evening commute. The worst road conditions will be evening late, close to midnight. By the morning commute, the snow will be over for the most part, but travel may still be slippery in spots.

Snow will be steady this evening into the overnight hours, especially across northeastern Massachusetts. That’s where snowfall could add up to the most, with most spots picking up 2 to 4 inches.
Farther south toward the South Coast and Cape, snow amounts will be lighter and there’s a chance snow briefly mixes with rain late tonight.

Once this system moves out early Wednesday, the rest of the week looks fairly quiet for mid-February. Highs stay less frigid and more seasonable with a mix of clouds and sun, a few breezy days, and only spotty, nuisance-type snow chances that shouldn’t cause much trouble.
Our attention turns to late this weekend when there’s a potential for our next storm. We’re watching it closely, as confidence at this time is low.
