Gabrielle Union reacts to Dwyane Wade’s role in Candace Parker’s special day
Basketball legend Candace Parker is quickly becoming a member of her pal Dwyane Wade and lots of others in the game’s most prestigious membership.
The two-time WNBA Most Valuable Player can be enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later this 12 months, and when she heard the information, she knew who her presenter for the occasion could be.
In a video shared on social media by NBA on Prime, Parker gave Wade a handwritten letter throughout a aircraft trip, asking the Miami Heat legend to be a part of her on stage throughout the induction.
You can watch that second right here.
“Dear No. 3… always looking out for me, through Olympic gold, medals, championships,” Wade stated, whereas studying the letter out loud. “You have always had my back. It would be an absolute honor if you walk me and join me on stage at the Hall of Fame. I love you like a brother.”
Of course, Wade was comfortable to be taught the information, instantly going over to Parker to give her a hug.
Meanwhile, Wade’s spouse, Gabrielle Unionnoticed the video of the heartfelt second between her husband and Parker, who gained three WNBA titles.
“[It’s] only right,” Union commented, including a hearth emoji for emphasis.
Union clearly has no problem together with her husband displaying help for Parker. Like many basketball followers conversant in Parker’s unimaginable profession, Union was merely thrilled to know that the seven-time WNBA All-Star will obtain a much-deserved highlight.
The induction ceremony for Parker and the remainder of the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 can be held on the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass., in August.
