Evacuation order issued in Sayre due to fast moving wildfire in the area
SAYRE, Okla. (KOKH)— UPDATE
The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office stated emergency personnel have made all vital evacuations right now, and firefighters had been ready to cease the development of the hearth.

The National Weather Service (NWS) and the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management have issued a warning and evacuations for a wildfire north of Sayre in Beckham County till 1:45 pm Sunday.
Sayre Emergency Management has issued an evacuation order for residents north of the intersection of North 1880 Road and East 1170 Road. Officials are asking evacuees to transfer south.
A reunification heart is being arrange at Sayre Public Schools.
NWS positioned a harmful wildfire 2 miles north of Sayre and stated the hearth is moving quickly at about 3 to 5 mph.
The NWS is telling residents to comply with all security directions from native emergency administration officers and warning drivers to not drive into smoke.
OEM activated its State Emergency Operations Center due to important hearth climate and excessive winds on Sunday. The division stated a lot of Oklahoma is below a Red Flag Warning with gusts of winds up to 65 mph.
