Epstein bought 330 gallons of sulfuric acid the day FBI opened rape probe as conspiracy theorists leap on shock receipt
JEFFREY Epstein bought hundreds of gallons of sulfuric acid for his island on the same day the FBI opened his probe into him, new docs show.
Receipts and internal emails indicate that six 55-gallon drums – a total of 330 gallons – of the corrosive chemical were delivered to Little St. James on June 12, 2018.
The documents show the shipment cost £4,373 and coincided with the launch of the FBI’s probe into Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking operation.
The request form, buried within millions of files released on January 30, reads: “x 6 55 gal drums sulfuric acid w/fuel and insurance charge for transport; materials for conductivity probes; replacement pH and cable – RO Plant – LSJ.”
The timing of the acid purchase has triggered widespread online speculation.
Some social media users claimed the chemical could have been purchased to destroy evidence or even human remains, despite no proof supporting those claims.

MUSK’S VISIT
Elon Musk emailed Epstein about visiting paedo island, new files show
“One Epstein files email they requested 6 55 gallon drums of sulfuric acid, the only thing that is used for is to dissolve bodies,” one user wrote.
The files themselves provide no indication of criminal use.
Emails elsewhere in the newly released records, including exchanges dating back to 2013, suggest the sulfuric acid was used as part of a water purification system on the island.
RO refers to reverse osmosis, a process commonly used to treat drinking water.
Sulfuric acid is routinely used in such systems to regulate pH levels, soften water and improve filtration efficiency.
No other stated purpose for the chemical appears in the records.
Epstein died in 2019 in a New York jail cell while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
He had been denied bail and was already a registered sex offender after a prior conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
It comes after disturbing footage shows Epstein allegedly chasing young women around the kitchen of his home on his infamous private island.
The disgraced financier appears to be laughing as he runs after two women inside his Little Saint James property.
The paedophile is seen dressed casually in a white polo shirt, joggers and slippers as he pursues the women through the kitchen, who shriek as they flee.
At one stage, he appears to leap onto the kitchen counter and reach towards one of them.
It is unclear when the video was recorded.
Newly released emails also appear to show Elon Musk scheduled a visit to Epstein’s private ‘paedo island’ in January 2014.
But they do not confirm that the visit ever occurred and suggest the plans may have failed through.
According to the emails, Elon Musk contacted Epstein on December 13, 2013, saying his family would “be in the BVI/St Bart’s area over the holidays” and asking: “Is there a good time to visit?”
Epstein replied: “[A]ny day [Jan.] 1st-8th. [P]lay it by ear if you want. [A]lways space for you.”
After Musk responded, “probably the 1st then,” Epstein followed up: “[T]he 2 or 3 would be perfect. “I will come and get you.”
The exchange suggests the two men tentatively agreed on a Jan. 2, 2014 visit to Little St. James – the island long associated with Epstein and widely referred to as “Paedo Island.”
However, the trip may not have been completed.
