Daniel Cormier names 19-0 star as the only one ‘getting done worse’ by the UFC than Arman Tsarukyan
‘DC’ is still shocked by this featherweight contender’s UFC 325 snub.
Matchmaking has always been a polarizing topic in the UFC, but 2026 has kicked off with two of the biggest controversies in recent memory.
The most prominent was Arman Tsarukyan’s UFC 324 snub, after Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje were chosen to fight for the vacant lightweight title over the top contender amid Ilia Topuria’s absence.
But according to Daniel Cormier, the Armenian star’s situation could be worse. He could be this man…
Movsar Evloev has a perfect UFC record and multiple ranked wins, but he is yet to fight for the title.

Daniel Cormier calls Movsar Evloev’s snub ‘worse’ than Arman Tsarukyan’s
Saturday’s UFC 325 event in Australia will be headlined by the controversial rematch between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes.
Lopes lost to the two-time champion just 10 months ago, but one victory in that time was enough for the UFC to favor him over undefeated contenders Evloev and Lerone Murphy for the trip Down Under.
The Russian boasts a perfect 9-0 record and is coming off of wins over Lopes, Arnold Allen, and Aljamain Sterling.
In the eyes of Cormier, Evloev is in a “worse” spot under the UFC banner than Tsarukyan.
“Lord knows what’s going on with Movsar Evloev,” Cormier said during a video on his YouTube channel.
“There’s one guy getting done worse than freaking Arman Tsarukyan; it is Movsar Evloev.
“He hasn’t even gotten any kind of traction towards a championship fight,” he added.

Alexander Volkanovski wanted to fight Movsar Evloev
Evloev’s title shot snub came despite his claim being green-lit by the champion.
Arguably being the greatest featherweight of all time and being in the midst of his second title reign evidently has not helped ‘Alexander the Great’ get a say in his choice of challengers
If he did, Volkanovski would have selected Evloev last year.
“You ask me who I would be most excited for, it would probably be Movsar (because of) the fact that he deserves it,” Volkanovski said during an interview on Demetrious Johnson’s YouTube channel.
“He’s undefeated. The last undefeated guy I lost to, so I haven’t been able to take someone’s zero yet.
“So there’s another reason,” he added.
