Celtics trade Josh Minott to Nets ahead of trade deadline: Report originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
Josh Minott is the latest Boston Celtic to be moved ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
Minott was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The 23-year-old was in the middle of his first season with the C’s after signing a two-year deal worth $5 million last summer.

It’s currently unknown what the Celtics received from the Nets in the deal.
Minott played in 33 games for Boston (10 starts) this season, averaging 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 50.7 percent from the floor. He played sparingly over the last month after losing his role in the rotation, and he missed time due to an ankle injury.
The Minott trade marked the Celtics’ second of the day and third of the week. They reportedly sent Chris Boucher to the Utah Jazz earlier on Thursday and traded Anfernee Simons to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vucevic on Tuesday.
The NBA trade deadline is set for 3 pm ET.
