The Boston Celtics have made their second move of the week ahead of Thursday’s 3 pm ET NBA trade deadline.

The C’s have traded Chris Boucher to the Utah Jazz, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Thursday.
Boston signed Boucher as a free agent last offseason after he spent the previous seven seasons with the Toronto Raptors.
Boucher was never able to earn a consistent role in head coach Joe Mazzulla’s rotation and only played in nine games.
Trading Boucher and his $2.3 million expiring contract gets the Celtics closer to being under the luxury tax line (they’re just $3.6 million above it after this trade), and it also opens a roster spot in case the team wants to make another move before the deadline.
The Celtics also acquired center Nikola Vucevic and a second-round pick from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for guard Anfernee Simons and a second-round pick earlier this week.
