Blizzard Warning issued ahead of nor’easter set to bring high winds, up to 2 feet of snow – Boston News, Weather, Sports


BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) — A Blizzard Warning has been issued for elements of Massachusetts ahead of a nor’easter that is anticipated to roar into the state in a single day Sunday, drop up to two feet of snow, and bring damaging wind gusts and the potential for coastal flooding.

The storm is predicted to start round 9 pm Sunday and proceed by 7 pm Monday. The hardest snow is predicted to fall early Monday morning with the potential of greater than two inches an hour and blizzard situations.

Between 18-24 inches anticipated to fall on elements of the South Shore and South Coast, 12-18 inches for the Boston and MetroWest areas out to 495 and Cape Cod, and 6-12 inches in Worcester County and elements of Western Massachusetts.

The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning that can be in impact from 4 pm Sunday to 7 am Tuesday for parts of jap, northeastern, and southeastern Massachusetts and northern and southern Rhode Island. The Blizzard Warning contains the town of Boston.
